How I get by . 

So today I thought I’d share with you my tips on how I keep track with my slimming world journey. I have been on slimming since January 2016,  I’ve had my ups and downs as well as struggles but when I am focused these are the ways in which I have the best losses.

First of all I’d like to thank my consultant Sarah from the priory church Monday group in Hull because she is fantastic! She is always there for support and advice and I wouldn’t be where I am now if it wasn’t for her being so welcoming that first Monday I walked into group.

1. Why are you on your journey. 


It took a lot for me to start on my journey and it takes time and commitment to make that life change. Slimming world isn’t a diet it’s a lifestyle change and unless your ready to make that leap you won’t get the weight loss that you expect. 

2. Plan, Plan, Plan


Making sure that you are planning your meals and snacks is vital to keeping yourself on track. If you have your meals planned out you will be less likely to stray and sneak them extra syns in.
 
3. Take regular photos of your progress


You will get to a certain point in your journey were you will start to feel yourself changing. It’s really great to take photos so that you can compare how well you’re doing and it can give you a spurt when you might be feeling low. I have photos on my phone in my underwear which I can really see the difference in (however not quite up to putting them on here.)  

4. Find your go to meals 


As you get used  to cooking slimming world friendly meals, you will find the ones that are your favourites. Batch cooking these and freezing them is a great way to stay on track. Then if you find yourself in a rush you know you still have a healthy meal choice in for you. 


5. Staying for group

Putting your bum on a seat and staying for group is so important in keeping those losses. I have had my ups and downs and I know that I do better when I stay for meetings. It gives you the opportunity to talk about how your feeling give you ideas for meals etc.
