Hello everyone I hope you are well, I have been really enjoying getting back into blogging and making more time for myself again. Its been a lovely bank holiday weekend and even I have enjoyed the warmer weather. Which doesn’t always happen. One thing I have been thinking about this weekend is my blog photos. I am no photographer and I am very lucky that I have such a wonderful partner who doesn’t mind taking photos for me.
I bought this gorgeous dress from Primark this weekend and knew that I wanted to take some photos wearing it; so I set about finding the perfect accessories to go with it. Knowing that a pair of heels can make any outfit look extra special I found my pair of tan heels that I’ve had forever. Putting them in my car I told Mike we’d have to stop part of the way through our walk to put them on and take some photos. *yes I did get an eye roll from him* and I can’t blame him to be fair.
We were on our way round the canal, we’d finally sorted Fred *we’re looking after Mamma and Pappa’s doggy* and was well away with walking him. We started taking some photos which were going pretty well when Michael reminded me I’d forgotten the heels I’d planned to wear! I instantly thought sh*t these photos aren’t going to look half as good and I’m going to look short and stumpy. . . Then it came to me . . . “why do I care?” I try to pride myself on showing my style; and would I be wearing huge heels on a bank holiday walking the dog? . . . Hell No! You’re lucky if you get me in heels on any day never mind walking the dog. Why am I falsifying my style just for the *right* kind of shot?
So this dress though, I mean its so lovely right? it reminds me of the amazing summer dresses my mamma used to wear in the early 90’s and for me. . . what more could I want. I bought a size 18 which in Primark can be a bit touch and go for me, because of the bust area. Sometimes I can move two to three sizes just in that one shop alone. However lucky for me it fit like a dream. Its the perfect bank holiday dress, easily transferable from day time activities to perhaps a few drinks in the beer garden.
