Hello lovelies I hope you are having a glorious weekend so far. Once again it’s been a while since my last post but I haven’t lost my love for blogging just lacked time.
So today I’m bring you a very summery outfit post and a little chat about some recent things that I have been proud of. I’m going to do the chatty bit first so if you want to skip to the outfit details they’ll be at the bottom! (I don’t mind)
NUMBER ONE: My Class Made Wonderful Progress!
As your probably aware if your a regular reader of mine, I am a Primary school teacher. This year has been a hard one for me starting in EYFS half way through the year and has certainly not been easy. But coming to the end of the year means looking at how much progress has been made and I could not be prouder of them! They have honestly been an amazing class to teach!
NUMBER TWO: I have had some health problems and come out the other side!
This month has been a difficult one in terms of health with my back recovering from our nasty car crash to various other problems, It felt like a life time ago since I’d been well. But it’s safe to say I’m on the mend and looking forward to having a healthy and happy summer.
NUMBER THREE: I am learning to feel more confident in myself.
There would have been a time in my life where I would never have worn this dress without covering up my arms. I have always felt my arms where chunky and made me look huge unless covered up. But with the constant heat recently I realised I just don’t care! Michael always pays me compliments but I just think he’s being nice, I’m going to start believing him!
NUMBER FOUR: We finally rejuvenated the kitchen!
Michael and I have been meaning to spruce our kitchen up for a long time but haven’t given our selves the time to. So one Sunday this month we took our change jar and bought some paint and some pretty kitchen ware and it looks ten times better. (It’s amazing what a difference it can make just a fresh coat of white can make) Let me know if you want to see photos!
AND FINALLY FIVE: I have made an oath to start looking after myself more.
I know that there are reasons behind my weight gain and I don’t regret anything I have done that has gotten me the point I am at now. However I do know that getting back on track with my weight loss is something I need to do for my health both physically and mentally. I know that seems quite contradictory to number two but really the two come together and without both there wouldn’t be progress (I know this from my own experience). So here is to a healthier future!
AND NOW ONTO THE OUTFIT:
Dress – Pep&Co – £10.00 (locate nearest store here)
This dress is honestly one of my favourite purchases in recent months. Pep&Co is one of those shops that my Mum always goes in but I never really bother looking much. Then recently I went in looking for some cheap dressed to wear in the heat and came across this gorgeous dress and for only £10.00! Unfortunately you can’t purchase online but click the link to find your nearest store.
Bag – Home Bargains – £4.99 (locate nearest store here)
This was another surprise for me as I have been looking for a straw bag for a while now, but didn’t want to spend a fortune incase our lovely weather didn’t last. Whilst doing a food shop in our local Home Bargains I came across this stunner and couldn’t believe the price tag! I love the pom pom detailing and the fact their black means that I can use this bag with any outfit. As a bonus it also has a draw string fasten at the top so you can still keep your possessions safe.
Tan Heels – New Look – old stock (similar here)
I have had these heels for a long time now and they are one of those staples that you grab when invited to weddings or christenings in the summer. They are a gorgeous colour with a nice thick heel (stiletto’s are not my friends) I have a wedding I am attending in August and this may be a possible outfit choice!
So that’s all for June, I am pleased I managed to get some posts out and I have definitely got more planned for July and August. If there is anything you would like to know more about. Be it teaching, how I got into teaching, my classroom, being plus size, being healthy, where I shop. Please don’t hesitate to drop me a comment!
Cute dress, as if it was only £10!!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with your arms and you should not cover them! I’d better be comfortable than hide myself, and you should be too! Good luck on your weight loss btw, I am on my journey as well.
