Hello lovely people.
I hope that you are all doing well on this fine Wednesday. Last week I took a little trip to the Ikea in Sheffield with my lovely friend Emma. We needed to get some odd and ends for our classrooms (but obviously I ended up spending more)
The spare bedroom that we have in our house is one that we haven’t really touched since we moved in 3 years ago, I bought some brown and grey cushions ages ago with some sheets to match but wanted to add some finer touches to it with a bit more colour.
Knowing what style I wanted, the first thing I did was find a cushion cover that I liked, then found other items to match that colour pattern. There was also a rug (to cover a huge iron mark that was covered when we bought the house) that I wanted to buy however I needed to wait till I’d been paid.
WHAT I BOUGHT
Floral Cushion Cover – £4.50 (buy here)
50cm Cushion Insert – £2.00 (buy here)
Grey Throw – £3.25 (buy here)
Nutmeg & Vanilla Scented Candle – £1.75 (buy here)
Nutmeg & Vanilla Potpourri £1.00 (buy here)
I have to say that candle and potpourri smells divine. It definitely gives me Autumnal vibes but its my favourite season so why not smell it all year round!
For school I bought some children’s coat hangers (here) for the dressing up stand and some children’s cooking utensils (here) for our home corner. The little elephant pot I actually bought from Primark but forgot when I took the photos because I put it in the same bag. (but is cute so who cares)
So.. what are your go to purchases when you visit Ikea? Have you been to the Sheffield store? Let me know!
I absolutely love the things that you got!
Ikea is amazing for good deals and great aesthetics.
If you have time feel free to check how I transformed one of their plain metal shelve and follow my new blog. I just started, hehe.
