When I need a break from it all.

Hello lovelies I hope you are well.

As it is the new year and fresh starts etc and I am going to be writing posts about hopes and aspirations for 2019, I wanted to start with a post all about keeping a clear head. Its so easy to get bogged down about the littlest things and I feel that is something that I want to work on. you know not sweating the little stuff”

So I thought I’d tell you all about some ways that I am going to try keep a clear head this year.

GO FOR A WALK

Seems obvious yes, but when your feeling overwhelmed sometimes the last thing you want to do is but some shoes on and go out in the cold. Especially when its dark, but it honestly can be so refreshing, the cold air on your face and a strong stride can be the best thing.

READ A BOOK

Another great one if you cant face going out the house is to get into a good book. Sometimes I’ve sat with my book and two hours have passed and I haven’t realised. Whatever was worrying or stressing me out feels a million miles away and for that brief moment I’ve switch off.

RUN A BUBBLE BATH

Probably my favourite thing to do is have a long soak in the bath. Luckily for me a got an insane amount of bath bombs so clearly people know me well. Turning off the lights, lighting candle and grabbing a glass of wine in the bath is a great way to chill. You can even take it one step further and turn it into a whole pamper session!

GO TO THE GYM

Now here is one I never thought I’d be writing. Yes I have a gym membership, do I always use it. Not really. However I will say that when I need to take a break from stress and clear my head the Gym will definitely do that. One of the things I am going to try and do this year is go to the gym more not just to help get fit and healthy but more for when I’m feeling overwhelmed.

COOKING

It is safe to say I am not a huge fan of cooking. However there are times where I feel stick on some of my favourite music and batch cook all my favourite dishes to stick in the freezer. Kinda like when Monica makes all that jam for Joey but with out the excessive eating. (well maybe a little eating)
