Easter Term Round Up

Hello Lovelies, it’s been a long time I know, I hope that you are well.

It’s safe to say its been a pretty crazy half term but I’ve gotten through it and have two weeks to recharge my batteries and get myself prepped for the last term of the year. I’ve planned to go into school during next week (we don’t have all the holidays off!) because I got some new furniture in my classroom so there its still lots of organising to do. I started to make some pallet furniture in my outdoor space too so I need to get that sorted as well. I’m pretty please with how some of the changes are shaping up so I’ll probably do a post about it at some point.

If you’d have seen on of my latest Instagram posts, I talked about how work was definitely taking over all aspects of my free time and blogging was going to have to take a back seat but I am hoping to use these two weeks to plan and write some posts and get a good schedule going again to keep you guys up to date!

Over all this term has had it’s ups and downs but I worked hard to complete my data for the term and good lord have the kids made progress! I am so proud of how they have come on. We have spent the last term reading Supertato and the kids have honestly been enthralled with the topic. I thought the girls might not enjoy it as much but they loved it more than the boys. If you are a teacher or parents whose children struggle to engage with writing Supertato is a great book to choose.

I love the Spring term because the weather is that nice sunny chill and you can start to do planting and talking about growing etc. One thing I love about the end of Spring term at my school is our annual Easter Bonnet Parade. Its an old tradition and kids love it; as a whole school we walk around the local park and back and it always brings a smile to the people that see us. This is where the outfit on todays post comes in. This is what I wore for our Easter Bonnet Parade and it is an outfit that I am very proud of (even if it does scream EYFS teacher)
