New Glasses & Specsavers

Hello lovelies, We are mid week again already.

So today I am bringing you a my recent experience getting my eyes tested at the new Specsavers in Kingswood Hull. This is not gifted and there is no collaboration, I just felt like it was a great experience so I thought I’d share!

So I have been wearing glasses since I was about 8 years old and have had a range of different frames and styles over the years. As an adult I would usually buy my glasses online and hadn’t had my eyes tested for at least 5 years (my bad I know). I felt that my eyesight had gotten worse and needed to get them tested again. So knowing that I had some time off over Easter I thought I’d get booked in.

You can have a look at what they have to offer here.

BOOKING

Booking an appointment was so easy to do, it is an online service in which you can find the nearest store and then see what dates and times are available. Once I had booked my appointment I received reminder emails and texts and also got a phone call to check a few days before also!

THE APPOINTMENT

You are asked to turn up ten minutes before your appointment and bring your current prescription and glasses if you have some. When I arrived all the staff were really polite and chatty and certainly made you feel very welcome. I wasn’t waiting long and was taken in to the test itself. My prescription had changed so I was given a paper copy of it but then was also taken to have a look at the frames they had on offer.

CHOOSING FRAMES

They really do have a wide selection of frames to choose from with a range of different prices. You can choose from two for £45 £69 £89 or upwards. I chose from the £69 range and chose a pair of normal and then a pair of sunglasses for when I am driving. Once I had picked I then sat down and had them measured up correctly. I did pay an £30 to have the anti reflection on my glasses because I have Astigmatism it is something that really helps me. I think the prices are pretty reasonable and didn’t feel pressured into buying more expensive ones which I have experienced at other opticians in the past.

Overall I paid £110 for: Eye test, one pair of glasses, one pair of sunglasses and reflective coating on my glasses.

PICKING THEM UP

The glasses took 8 days until they were ready, I then received a phone call to come and collect them. When collecting them the lovely woman who served me took a lot of time making sure that they fit just right. I was then given a special voucher which get my 50% of any frames within the next six months so I will definitely be taking advantage of that before it runs out.

OVERALL

Overall I was really happy with the service that I received. It was quick and efficient, and all of the staff were really polite and kind. I would definitely go there again when I am due my next check up. Now as I said before this was not in collaboration or gifted, I just had a really great experience so thought I would share it with you guys.

Have you been to Specsavers before? Would you recommend them? Let me know!
