Spare Room Revamp

Hello lovelies, I hope you are well today and staying safe!

We are technically in the Easter Holidays even though it doesn’t feel like it. I am still at work for a few days to look after the Key Worker children but still trying to enjoy the days off that I’ve got. So on Monday I decided I wanted to rearrange my spare room as its needed sorting for a long time. This however turned into a much bigger job than anticipated.

The spare room as it is for most people is a dumping ground for odds and ends as well as a space for me to get ready in a morning. So before I started moving furniture I needed to sort it out. This took four bin bags and four charity bags (I’ll keep them in my garage till this is all over).

Then me being me didn’t stop there, I decided to paint it as well, thinking oh its already cream so it wont take much to cover it. Guess what guys! I was wrong. I really didn’t want to go buy paint (its non essential people) so I painted three wall in left over white that I had left in the shed and one in the ivory colour that is in my Living room. Three coats later and I am really please with how the colour has turned out.

To then accessorise the room I used cushions I already had that matched the colour scheme I was aiming for and whipped out my old dinosaur duvet because lets face it who doesn’t love dinosaurs? My sister bought me some amazing Disney movie prints for Christmas and so with my Stich makeup brushes and pot on my desk I thought they looked great above it.

It took 11 hours to do and I completed it in one day but I am really pleased with how it turned out. I feel like I’ve now got a space where I can create content for my blog and work from home as well which is something that I have been struggling with.
