Hey Bloggers Christmas Party

Hello lovelies, I hope you are well.

It has been a hectic and exciting week this week, with Love Actually on Monday (see post) and my class performed their Nativity which went great! Then to finish a fab week I went to the HEY Bloggers Christmas party at the Double Tree in Hull. It was a great day to catch up with other local bloggers and meet some new ones!

BEFORE THE PARTY

So before the party started I met up with a lovely local blogger and friend Kat, (her blog here) and we took some photos of our party outfits and went for a hot chocolate. In all fairness the hot chocolate was unplanned but it was so bloody cold we needed it!

WHAT I WORE

It was a bit of a mad rush getting ready for the blogger event. I had a hair appointment in the morning and what I bought to wear looked rubbish, so I ended up wearing this gorgeous tiger print dress from Boohoo with my lovely Tesco coat. I probably wouldn’t have worn my coat if is hadn’t of been so cold but I still like the two together.

THE PARTY

So when we arrived we were greeted with the amazing décor that the HEY blogger gals has set up. The party location was at The Lexington in Double Tree in the centre of Hull. (and the drinks were so cool to the point were my mocktail had a cucumber Christmas tree in it). There were ridiculously yummy treats from Like Sugar Bakery which were like heaven. There was a cute little bauble decorating station which is now sitting on my Christmas tree.

THE GAMES

They started of the party with a great warm up game from Socialise and Mingle, it was a great way to break the ice and start up conversations with people that you don’t know. It just so happened that my team won! So we were given a fab little gift bag with some treats and our own copy of the game to take home. I cant wait to use it at the next party I go to!

THE RAFFLE

The amazing HEY blogger gals had also set up an amazing raffle with lots of wonderful prizes. It’s also worth mentioning that all the money received for the raffle went to a wonderful cause ‘Oscars Chance’ find out more (here).

I was very lucky on the raffle and managed to nab some fab prizes including; a free cut and blow dry, a night for four at Napoleons casino, Two tickets to Oscar Chance charity race night, and some fab stationary!

OVERALL

At the end of the party we were given an amazing gift bag from the girls with some fab items in from like  Hugh Rice and many others! . I must say hats of the HEY blogger girls because they have put so much effort into this Christmas Party and it was an absolute success! I feel very lucky to have been and I can’t wait for the next!
