Hello lovelies! I hope you are well!
I know what your thinking two posts in less than a week that’s not like me at all at the minute. But like I said on Sundays post I am feeling really motivated and have got some blogging ideas in the pipeline.
So usually this close to Christmas people are feeling cheery and happy but with certain things happening at the minute it doesn’t seem like their is that much cheer around. Now I am not here to discuss politics, and I am not here to say who is wrong or right. I thought I would share some small ways that we can make the world just that little bit brighter all by ourselves.
SEND CHRISTMAS CARDS TO THE NEIGHBOURS
It’s definitely a small act of kindness but it always puts a smile on my face when I get a card from a neighbour. You see them pretty much most days when passing in the street but might not always talk that much. Christmas is the perfect time to say hello even if its in the smallest way.
DONATE TO A LOCAL FOOD BANK
One of the things I do every year with my class is a ‘Reverse Advent’ the children are given a date from the 1st to the 24th and on that day they bring in something to donate to the local foodbank. This is to teach the children that Christmas is about giving and not just getting presents. You can find out about your local food bank here.

MESSAGE AN OLD FRIEND
Sometimes its hard to keep in touch with people, we all lead busy lives and its so easy to fall into your bubble and not speak to people that you used to hold close. Take some time to reconnect. You never know that person that you might reach out to might really need your support this at this time of the year.
GET SOMEONE AN OXFAM UNWRAPPED GIFT
Whether its a gift from you to you or a gift to a loved one. Oxfam Unwrapped are a great gift that make everyone involved feel that little bit better. Whether is buying a goat for a village or a money towards children’s education its a beautiful gift that is truly helping others.
TREAT A STRANGER
Next time that you are in a coffee shop put some money towards the next persons drink. Even if it was just 50p it honestly makes such a difference and can really cheer someone up when they might be having a bad day.
ENSURE A YOUNG VUNERABLE PERSON HAS A PLACE TO STAY
I don’t know about you guys but I feel like I am noticing more and more people on the street and my heart goes out to anyone who has to sleep rough. Through Centre Point you can sponsor a room for a young person to sleep in that would stop them having to stay on the street over Christmas.
So that’s my little note of how I will be spreading Christmas joy this year. I’d love to here some of the nice things that you will be doing for others so please feel free to comment below!
